Frequently Asked Questions

Which sources are supported?

Multiple images can be combined directly into an animation, or frames can be auto-extracted from a video clip.

Can I adjust the animation speed?

Yes. The 'Frame Delay' parameter controls how long each frame is shown — smaller values make the animation faster.

Can I control the loop count?

Yes. Infinite loop, play once, or a custom number of loops are supported; once written into the GIF metadata, most players honor it.

Are transition effects supported?

Yes. 'Crossfade' transition frames (light/soft levels) can be inserted between adjacent frames for smoother changes; with too many frames, transition density is reduced automatically to keep size down.

How do I compress the GIF size?

Three presets are available: best quality (256 colors), balanced, and size-first. Size-first automatically drops to 128 colors and narrows the output width for a noticeably smaller file.

Can I choose a segment when converting video to GIF?

Yes. Set start and end times, and sample frames uniformly by count or interval.

Is data sent to a server?

No. GIFs are generated locally using the browser's built-in encoding logic, and no source files are uploaded to this site. Normal network requests may still occur to load page resources.
